Roberta Rodger - Owner

Roberta comments on the 2002-03 boards:
“I'm very excited about this years board line-up! I rode the Chorus Respect 146 for mostly park and rails cuz I feel that it has the perfect flex for rails so You can really lock in your trick and it also has a nice poppy flex for jumps and good stability for landings.

I'm way stoked on our new sidewall line and the Agility 149 which I rode on
backcountry kickers and pipe. It has a progressive freestyle flex that performs super good in pipe giving you that solid ride you need and on jumps it has good pop and a key flex for solid landings. Plus both boards are super light which makes it easier to spin whether it's off jumps or onto rails! Support the cause!”

About Roberta:
Energetic, full of life, charismatic and, at the very least, an inspiration to anyone, Roberta is in the driver’s seat of her life. And no one gets in her way. A multidisciplined athlete, Roberta excels in the park, in the pipe, on rails or in the backcountry. In her eight year career, Roberta has traveled to many parts of the world to ride including Germany, Switzerland, France, Norway and Japan and wont stop until her dream is realized – to inspire other girls to snowboard and encourage them to live their dreams. Born, raised and currently residing in North Vancouver, Canada, Roberta spends much of her time practicing tricks at her home mountain - Mt. Seymour. In addition to her presence on 411 Video, Volumes I and II, Roberta can be seen in the upcoming video, Hardly Angels – an all-girl snow, skate and surf video as well as The Mission, a snowboard video scheduled for release this fall in the U.S., Japan and Canada.

Roberta credits her first photoshoot with Chorus in December 2000 as her favorite time on the snow this season. “Riding with Janna for the first time was amazing. We both have the same riding style and we both just clicked with each other. It was so great to have us all together riding for the first time as a team.” Getting nervous when competing is something Roberta is looking to overcome and says she just tries not to think about it. “I don’t watch the other girls compete, I listen to my MP3 player so I can’t hear the announcers, and I talk to everyone about everything just to keep my mind off the fact that I’m competing.”

Roberta also loves to skateboard which became her inspiration to try snowboarding 8 years ago. She appreciates the art of photography, specifically fashion and action such as snowboarding, and currently takes classes to perfect her talent. Roberta lives for the outdoors and enjoys camping, skateboarding and surfing when time allows. She also says shopping is cool, especially when shopping for shoes. She makes people laugh and her warm assured demeanor invites dialogue and ones interest to know her more. When asked what makes her laugh, she replies “Leslee Olson.” Roberta hates mean people and lives by her motto, “just have fun.” Admiring people who are driven to succeed, Roberta is driven to succeed herself and says she will keep pushing herself at the sport and hopes to one day ride as confidently and as solid in contests as when just hanging out with friends.
